This section answers the buying questions: what Moadra costs, where it runs, what the demo covers, and which platform differences are real. It is deliberately factual — prices and platform features change with sales and storefront updates, so every figure carries the date it was retrieved.

All four platforms launched on the same day, 22 October 2026, so there is no "best platform yet" waiting game to play. What differs is price presentation, controller features, and whether the storefront runs a discount.

Where to start

• Before buying on PC → read platform and price details. It covers the launch discount window, Windows-only status, and Steam Deck verification.
• Want to try first → read what the demo covers. The free Steam demo is still available after launch, and knowing where it stops prevents a surprise.
• Choosing between console and PC → start with the price page. The eShop figure differs from the Steam figure, and the Xbox entry has one feature confirmed and one commonly assumed but not announced.

The four platforms side by side

Two cells in that table are the ones people get wrong: the Xbox subscription row and the Mac row. Game Pass inclusion has not been announced even though Play Anywhere has, and Steam's platform flags list Windows only, so there is no Mac or Linux build at launch.

Unlock order and prerequisites

There is no progression here, but there are two ordering facts that matter:

• The launch discount ends 5 November 2026. After that the price returns to 24.99 USD on Steam.
• The demo is not a separate purchase. It runs on Steam, needs no code, and does not require the full game.

One thing we cannot answer yet: whether demo save data carries into the full game. The page says so rather than guessing, because a wrong answer here costs someone their opening hours.

Three mistakes we see most

1. Assuming Game Pass inclusion. Xbox Play Anywhere and cloud saves are confirmed for eligible digital purchases; Game Pass has not been announced. Those are different things, and pages that merge them are guessing.
2. Assuming a Mac or Linux build exists. Steam's platform flags list Windows only at launch.
3. Quoting a price without a date. The 10% launch discount makes 24.99 and 22.49 both "correct" depending on the day. A price without a date is not information.
